Infection control changes the equipment. A hospital needs a barrier or pass-through arrangement separating soiled and clean sides, thermal disinfection at a validated temperature held for a validated time, and documentation of that cycle for the infection control committee. A general-purpose industrial washer does not satisfy it, however large. Where a tender for a hospital omits barrier washing, we raise it during clarification, because the facility will need it and retrofitting a laundry layout is expensive.

Industrial laundry is heavy on steam, water and power simultaneously, and more of these installations fail on utilities than on machinery. We supply a utility schedule with the quotation - steam demand and boiler sizing, water consumption and pressure, drainage, electrical load and phase - so the buyer's works department can confirm the site can carry it before the equipment ships. Water recovery is worth specifying where supply is constrained.
