Talk to usMachine and equipment supply in Russia
Russia requires a compliance answer before a commercial one, and EMM gives it plainly. Extensive international sanctions apply to Russia, covering specific entities, sectors, and a broad list of dual-use and advanced technology goods, and export control obligations attach to suppliers regardless of where they sit. We screen every Russian enquiry against sanctions lists and end-use and end-user requirements. We decline anything with a military, dual-use or controlled-technology character, anything destined for a listed entity, and any transaction where we cannot establish a lawful payment route. A good deal of ordinary industrial equipment falls outside those restrictions, and that is what we supply. Where an enquiry does not, we say no rather than looking for a way round it.
Where lawful demand sits
Food processing and agriculture are the clearest areas - Russia is a major grain, oilseed and sugar producer and the sector buys cleaning, drying, storage, flour milling, oilseed crushing, sugar refining, dairy, bakery, meat and poultry processing, beverage filling and cold chain equipment. Greenhouse horticulture has expanded substantially under import-substitution policy. Timber and sawmilling in the north west and Siberia buy debarking, breakdown saws, kilns and moulding plant. Construction materials, concrete, brick and precast serve a large building market. Metal fabrication, workshop tooling and general engineering equipment are steady. Mining and metallurgy buy crushing, grinding and wear parts within what is permitted.
Routes, certification and cold
Rail from China through the Trans-Siberian and the Kazakhstan corridors now carries the great majority of what we move here, with St Petersburg, Novorossiysk and Vladivostok handling sea freight. EAC conformity certification against the Eurasian Customs Union technical regulations is mandatory, with Russian-language documentation and markings. Winter across most of the country falls below minus 30 C and reaches minus 45 C in Siberia, so winterisation - cold-rated steels, lubricants and seals, heaters, insulated enclosures - is not an option but a requirement. Reckon on 220 V single phase and 380 V three phase, 50 Hz.
Send us the end use and the end user with your enquiry. We will complete the screening first and tell you honestly whether we can proceed.
