Get the PDFAgricultural Machinery and Equipments
Agricultural Machinery and Equipments is one of the largest public procurement streams in Africa, and it is almost entirely tendered. Ministries of agriculture buy tractors, implements and harvesting equipment in fleets under national mechanisation programmes, frequently financed by the African Development Bank, IFAD or bilateral credit lines, and distribute them through service centres, cooperatives or hire schemes. Manufacturing in bulk in China, EMM bids into those programmes, matching implements to the tractors and the soils actually in service.
The mismatch that wastes these programmes
Implements bought without reference to the tractors that will pull them. A ministry awards 500 tractors in one tender and 2,000 implements in another, and the implements turn out to need more horsepower than the tractors produce, or a three-point linkage category that does not match. We ask what tractors are in the fleet - make, horsepower, linkage category, hydraulic capacity - before quoting implements, and we will raise the mismatch during clarification rather than deliver equipment that cannot be coupled.
Soil and crop drive the specification
A disc plough that works in Nigerian savanna loam is wrong for the heavy black cotton soils of the Ethiopian highlands and wrong again for Sahelian sand. Tine spacing, disc diameter, shear protection and wearing-part metallurgy all change. So does the crop: maize, rice, cotton, cassava and groundnut each want different planting and harvesting equipment, and a schedule that lists one planter for all of them has not been thought through. We specify from the soil and the crop, and say so in the bid.
What keeps a mechanisation fleet alive
Wearing parts. Shares, tines, discs, blades and bearings are consumed fast, and a programme with no spares budget has idle equipment inside two seasons. We quote a wear-parts schedule with the machines and keep to common sizes that can be sourced or fabricated locally.
Send us the tractor fleet, the soils and the crops with the tender, and we will quote implements that actually work behind them.

Agricultural Machinery and Equipments manufacturers and exporters, supplying in bulk out of China against public procurement in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana and Kenya, and in Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia. Send the tender's technical schedule and we will answer it line by line.
Specifying Agricultural Machinery and Equipments
Most delays on an equipment order come from a spec that was agreed too loosely. These are the points we confirm in writing before anything is manufactured.
Send your specification- Capacity and duty cycle. Throughput per hour and how many hours a day the Agricultural Machinery and Equipments will actually run. Continuous duty and intermittent duty are different machines.
- Power supply. Voltage, phase and frequency at the site. Getting this wrong after shipment is expensive to correct.
- Site conditions. Ambient temperature, humidity, dust and available floor space or headroom.
- Standards and certification. Whatever the buyer, tender or customs authority in the destination country requires.
- Spares and consumables. What wears, how often, and what we ship with the machine so the first year runs without a stoppage.
- Installation scope. Whether you need supply only, or supply with installation, testing and commissioning on site.
